Four mainstage performances, from Balanchine to the boy who wouldn’t grow up, Ballet Memphis brings a host of new works and reimagined classics for everyone’s enjoyment. Beginning with Take Shape in October we present Balanchine’s ‘Square Dance,’ Julia Adam’s ‘Fingers of Your Thoughts,’ and Trey McIntyre’s ‘Reassuring Effects (of Form and Poetry.) The round out 2017 with everyone’s favorite, the one and only Nutcracker, featuring the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. In February, we present the finale of our ‘Places’ series with Small Places and three new works, including one from Stephanie Martinez. Then the season ends on a (sky) high note with our high-flying ‘Peter Pan.’
