Lola began dancing at age 3 and received her formal training from the School of American Ballet, where she participated in the annual workshop performances, various student choreography workshops, New York City Ballet lecture demonstrations, as well as the New York Choreographic Institute for three years. Lola attended summer courses at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Chautauqua School of Dance, The School of American Ballet, Ballet Austin, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Lola was accepted into the Professional Division Program at Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, WA. While at PNB she performed with the company in several ballets including Christopher Wheeldon’s Carousel, George Balanchine’s Jewels and Symphony in C, and Kent Stowell’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. She was also selected to dance featured roles in PNB’s Choreographer’s Showcase in works by Oliver Wevers, Johnanthan Porreta, and Barry Kerollis. In 2010 Lola danced in Darren Aronofsky’s Academy Award winning film Black Swan starring Natalie Portman.
Lola was invited to be a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, and is currently an undergraduate communications-media major at North Carolina State University.
