He’s quickly becoming the “Gene Kelly” of his generation, creating original choreography for movies, Broadway plays, music videos, and full-length and one-act ballets commissioned by the most prestigious dance organizations in the world. Ballet’s new “wonder boy,” Justin Peck brings his signature style, which is crisp, athletic and architectural, to Ballet Austin for MASTERS OF DANCE, as one of three powerhouse choreographers to share the stage Feb. 16-18.
Peck currently serves as resident choreographer and a soloist dancer for New York City Ballet. Critics say he’s building on the traditions of NYCB’s choreographic forefathers, George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, and breathing new life into a centuries-old art form.
