Dancers leap within the most-charming-of DC snowstorms and waltz through bursting cherry blossoms in The Washington Ballet’s captivating iteration of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker. Set in historic 1882 Georgetown with George Washington as the heroic Nutcracker and historic characters including Frederick Douglass, John Paul Jones, and Harriet Tubman, The Washington Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker is a spirited, all-American production.

With over 35 performances at the majestic Warner Theatre in downtown DC, and four performances at THEARC Theater in SE, The Nutcracker will transport audiences of all ages into a dreamy winter wonderland. This year, The Washington Ballet also celebrates the 75th Anniversary of The Washington School of Ballet.
