About National Ballet Academy Denver's International Summer Intensive Program
The National Ballet Academy Denver offers an comprehensive technique intensive International Summer School for serious young dancers from the USA and overseas. Each day consists of five to six hours of classes and workshops, six days a week. Emphasis is placed on each dancer’s technical and artistic growth through individualized attention, career development classes, and special workshops. All classes offered during the summer intensive will serve to enrich the dancer’s exposure to the classic ballet training curriculum.A distinguished faculty from the National Ballet Academy Denver led by Artistic Director Cornell Callender along with renowned international guest teachers, join the staff to make up a teaching faculty, providing classes in a variety of dance styles, under the guidance of our Directors.The course offers classes including Classical Technique, Pointe, Repertoire, Pas de Deux, Body Conditioning Variations and more.Students may apply to be accommodated at the School’s supervised dormitory, subject to availability. General hotel information and costs of accommodation will be sent by the Summer Intensive Office to those offered places. It is the responsibility of the individual student’s family/guardian to arrange accommodation.

The National Ballet Academy Denver provides residential accommodations for students attending the Summer Intensive Program. The Academy’s provides students with the most safe, comfortable, convenient, upscale accommodations possible,located just 5 minutes walking distance from the National Ballet Academy Denver’s training facilities. The Academy and the Accommodation staff do everything to provide a warm, friendly and caring community. Activities
Enriching activities outside classes are always fun and exciting part of the National Ballet Academy Denver’s Summer Intensive Program. Following are some events the students enjoyed, and places they can visit, in their free time during the Summer Intensive Program.There is a mandatory $150 activity chaperone and transportation fee for the Summer Intensive Program. There are additional costs for each outing. Students may sign up and pay for a pre-planned package of activities at the same time that enrollment forms are completed prior to the Summer Intensive Program. All group outings are chaperoned by National Ballet Academy Denver staff members.
