hey ballethub :) I just started pointe this year and love it! so excited to get my first pair of pointe shoes. theyre freeds!! anyway I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on getting my toes and ankles stronger. I asked my teacher and she helped..just wanting any help I can get.
Hi tutu… I’ve been on pointe now for a few years and can say that doing barre exercises in pointe shoes really helped me. having the barre to hold onto and working on rolling up slowly can really make your feet stronger. the first year is always a little tough but hang in there and youll get strength!! :-)
Hey thanks kellie! I will start doing some exercises at barre before my pointe class even starts so I can get ahead of the game :) what shoes are you wearing??
I wear grishkos but im thinking of changing. Ive never tried anything else so i just want to see if i would like something better. Good luck with your pointe work tutu!!
