Is eleven years old too late to be able to develop a solid foundation in ballet?

My daughter started ballet this past September (after a couple of discontinuous classes in jazz dance, in which she did quite well) as an eleven year old. She is twelve now, and in a “fast intermediate” class. I think she has nice lines, is lean and flexible, and wants to continue with ballet. I don’t hope for her to be a professional, but I would like to see her in a competitive team, just to get a solid foundation in the art and athleticism of ballet. Is this really too little, too late?

No really it’s not ,remember Misty Copeland started ballet at 13!

Not at all. With desire to learn and practice , a dancer could be doing soloist roles by their late teens.
