A romantic ballet is a style of ballet which was largely produced during the early nineteenth century. Romantic ballets have a strong focus on presenting a mood and cast of different characters to tell a story. They are often performed in romantic tutus, which are long tulle skirt that either goes to the knees or to the ankles. Giselle and La Sylphide are two great examples of romantic ballets.
