The Colorado Ballet Academy has honed the dance skills of thousands of students, as well as started the careers of many professional dancers, providing the highest quality of dance training available in the state. The Academy has a history of transitioning students into the Colorado Ballet Company as well as other companies worldwide. Students train in the same building alongside the professional Company dancers and have the opportunity to audition for roles in some of Colorado Ballet's productions. The Academy provides training to students ages 3 through adult, beginner through professional, utilizing the most current schools of ballet training. We incorporate traditional ballet pedagogy into our ballet curriculum and secure teachers with extensive experience. In addition to ballet we offer modern, jazz, pilates, yoga and boys only classes, in order to train well educated and healthy dancers. Our students are versatile and company ready when they graduate. Pre-professional trainee students have the option of participating in a Colorado Ballet Academy supervised online academic program. When not in a concentrated academic environment students will attend 2 daily ballet technique classes, augmented with pointe, pirouette and allegro, pas de deux, modern, character, pilates, variations and choreography classes taught by Colorado Ballet Academy faculty members as well as occasional guest artists. Colorado Ballet Academy offers the unique opportunity to gain stage experience at a young age with our acclaimed professional ballet company as well as through student showcase performances and outreach programs.
