International Ballet Academy (IBA) offers the highest level of classical ballet training for the young student to the professional dancer. Ballet classes are taught using the Vaganova method. Contemporary and Jazz classes are offered to students who have a foundation in classical ballet, enabling them to expand their training. Every class is taught to achieve the ultimate in accomplishment and to serve the student regardless of their future goals. We encourage students of all ages and abilities to acquire the life long skills gained through the disciplined study of dance. IBA offers 2 divisions in their school-year program: * Open school – ages 3 through adult Includes an advanced class on Saturdays for students from other schools who wish to supplement their training * Pre-professional-ages 13+ For students who choose to commit themselves to a serious training program

Performing Opportunities
There are numerous performance opportunities for students at International Ballet Academy. These include the End-of-Year Demonstration at Furman University in the spring; the Studio Performance Group for students in Ballet I-III; and the International Ballet Chamber Company for students selected by the artistic director. Each year, open auditions are held in August for International Ballet's The Nutcracker. This spectacular holiday classic is held at the Peace Center for the Performing Arts.
Scholarships
Scholarship auditions are held in September. A limited number of scholarships are available for students in Ballet I-V based on talent and financial need.
