Under the Artistic Direction of prima ballerina Maniya Barredo, Metropolitan Ballet Theatre is a classical, pre-professional ballet school, training young dancers in the art of classical ballet while promoting excellence based on the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Each dancer is taught with respect, love and responsibility. Metropolitan Ballet Theatre works to introduce and expose dancers to different dance styles, choreography, choreographers, and to nurture dancers into the artists of the future.

Enrollment

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre offers Trainee classes for children ages 5-9, without audition. For pre-professional students, 10-21 years old, audition is required. MBT focuses on the individual needs of each dancers as it conducts pre-professional classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, and modern dance. hours. Students enrolled in alternative school programs are invited to inquire about our Conservatory Program.

Performing Opportunities

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre presents two full-length productions annually including ”The Nutcracker” as well as one additional program of repertory pieces. Also, MBT serves the metro Atlanta community by offering various outreach performances throughout the year. Each performance is a unique opportunity for students to grow personally and artistically.
