School of The Georgia Ballet

The Georgia Ballet, Inc., a non-profit organization, was founded in 1960 by Iris Hensley. The organization's Artistic Director, Alexandre Proia is commited to expanding the founder's vision of offering a professional ballet company, a school of the highest caliber for the metropolitan Atlanta area, and an outstanding Arts in Education outreach program. The Georgia Ballet's performing artist hail from around the nation and have a diverse and versatile background in a range of classical to contemporary styles of dance. The School at The Georgia Ballet is one of the south’s foremost training institutions and has a reputation in the region that is second to none. Every student, whether preballet or preprofessional, recreational or vocational, child or adult, is welcome.
