The School of Richmond Ballet offers superior training for those young people who aspire to have a professional ballet career as well as those students who wish simply to enrich their lives through dance. Our students are taught by a world-class faculty in a state-of-the-art facility shared with Richmond Ballet professional company dancers. Our mission to offer every student a valuable and positive experience with dance includes performance opportunities such as Richmond Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker. The School of Richmond Ballet classes are offered year-round and include a dance curriculum in a variety of dance forms at many skill levels. These levels range from our unique Children’s Division curriculum, Invitation to the Dance, to the pre-professional Richmond Ballet Trainee Program. The School of Richmond Ballet training curriculum allows for the development of strong, poised and versatile student dancers. Our students and their families are an important part of the Richmond Ballet organization. Our students will become the future of the ballet art, both on stage and off, as they eventually become dancers, audiences and ballet patrons in Richmond and throughout the country.
