Wilmington School of Ballet and Dance opened in 1999 with a mission to develop character and wellness in young people through the art of dance. Our dancers have gone on to the best ballet institutions and professional dance organizations in America. However, our proudest achievement is the influence we have on all dancers to learn the connection between hard work and self esteem.

The Wilmington School of Ballet & Dance has the largest class selection, greatest expert faculty, and grandest performance opportunities in the region. Starting with princess & pirate dance and moving up to professional training. The Studio offers classical ballet, pointe, partnering, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro, contemporary, cross training, karate, and choreography. Dancers of all walks of life can find their place at our studio from recreation to those seeking professional careers.
Performing Opportunities
The Wilmington School of Ballet & Dance has the broadest selection of performance opportunities for dancers in our region. Our affiliate non-profit company, The Wilmington Ballet Company & Dance Theater, produces the grandest Nutcracker in our region annually. The Company also regularly performs with the Wilmington Youth Symphony, as an integral part of exhibits at Cameron Art, and in all recognized community concerts. The school produces two recitals annually.
