My daughter started ballet this past September (after a couple of discontinuous classes in jazz dance, in which she did quite well) as an eleven year old. She is twelve now, and in a “fast intermediate” class. I think she has nice lines, is lean and flexible, and wants to continue with ballet. I don’t hope for her to be a professional, but I would like to see her in a competitive team, just to get a solid foundation in the art and athleticism of ballet. Is this really too little, too late?
