Hello all! My son is now 15 and has been taking ballet pretty seriously for the last 3, ever since we took a family vacation to New York and saw ABT perform. He’s been taking at the same school since he was 8 and seems to have pretty good teachers. He is only one of two boys, and there is no male teacher. He talks about wanting to become professional but I’m wondering if he needs to move on to a male teacher? There is a highly regarded male teacher at a school downtown, which is unfortunately about 30 miles away. But my husband and I could make it happen if its the next step for his training.
Does anyone have some insight on this? Thanks in advance!
