IMPACT: “The effect or influence of one person, thing, or action, on another” - The New Oxford American Dictionary In our final offering in this year of celebration, we broaden the definition of love to include the potential we have to impact our community. The launch of OBT II, with choreography by OBT’s first Resident Choreographer, Dennis Spaight, is a gesture of our appreciation to the community in recognition of the love we have received over 25 wonderful years. We also add a powerful new work to our repertory – RASSEMBLEMENT by Nacho Duato, whose POR VOS MUERO last season made a huge impact on Portland audiences. Finally, we unveil a new voice to Portland, that of Darrell Grand Moultrie – the rare choreographer who can bridge the worlds of Beyoncé (he created dances for her “Mrs. Carter” tour) and the artists of OBT.
