    Dear teachers ,

I would like your advice.I am a 16year old Female from South Africa and a ballet lover as well .However currently i am not doing anything that will help me work towards my dream .I have only tagged myself in one or two classes for 2years and have performed twice .But i haven’t written any exams or whatsoever ,Due to financial problems i had to stop the classes . I feel as though i will never make it as a ballet dancer due to my age and how late i have started.Any help or advice?I wouldn’t mind weekend classes or holiday coursesas well because i ger back home late from school during weekdays .Do you know of any South African teachers who could guide me or dance schools ?

    Kind Regards

    Hi NeaniaCinder,

Have you considered asking local schools if there are any scholarships available?

Becoming a ballet dancer does require lots of time in the studios working on technique, and nothing really with written exams, it is a very physical activity! I don’t know of any South African teachers but try to see what is in your immediate area and see if there may be someone to help?

    Good luck!!!
