    Hi there,
I just put my 4 year old daughter in a creative movement class and she seems to be enjoying it! She is a shy little one and I thought it would help her get out of her shell a little. the first class was rough but after a few classes she really seems to look forward to it!
I was thinking of maybe trying to put her in another class similar to her creative movement class.. maybe tumbling or tap. is this a good idea or is it going to be overwhelming?

    Thanks

Hi Brooke11! I’m a mom of a little girl also. She’s 9 and is loving taking all kinds o dance classes. And that started at a young age. I think that if your little girl is now enjoying her creative movement class then I would at least try another class if you think thats best. If she gets overwhelmed or shy again you can always just take her out of it but at least try. If this is getting her out of her shell then thats great!

Dance really helps kids open up!

That’s what I was thinking!! My little one is really enjoying dance around in her creative movement class so my guess is she would love tumbling and/or tap… maybe someday she’ll be doing all 3! :)
    What does your daughter take?

My daughter has taken tap, jazz, gymnastics and ballet. Right now she is really focused on ballet! She is my up and coming ballerina :)

Ballet would be great one day for my little one to try but right now I think it would be too serious for her. My goal is to get her to come out of her shell a little more and then hopefully one day she will want to try ballet!
