I am a 57 year old woman. I’m in good shape, athletic, and flexible. One of the items in my “bucket list” was to take a ballet class, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and sign up. Being a studious type in high school, I never took any dance.
The surprising thing was the realization that most dance schools limit enrollment to those 18 and younger. Many state 13+ on a particular class level, but when you call, they indicate that the classes are limited to teens.
Do adults not study ballet, so the market isn’t there? Why don’t schools open their high school classes to adults?
Enquiring minds want to know.
Thanks
