    I am choreographing a piece for my lyrical class and its the first time I’ve done a piece with a large number of kids, there are 15 in the class. I’m having a hard time finding inspiration and am hoping someone could help me.

    Hello! Im the owner of a school and have had to choreograph many many times. What really helps me is picking the music first. when i hear something it the first thing i do is start dancing in my head :) i could never start a piece without hearing something that inspires me first. I think that would really help you out!

    That does help! I haven’t given any thought to my music yet so thats the first thing that I’ll do! Pick music :-)

    I agree with rdance! Music helps me so much when I have to choreograph pieces for the recital at the end of the year.

    Also, the kids themselves help too. I always look to the kids and make sure what I’m doing is right for them and they are enjoying it!

    That’s good too! my kids will for sure let me know if they are bored or don’t like something. Very opinionated! :-)

    Creating the right atmosphere with the help of music and some essential oils results in inspiration :) This really helps me to come up with new ideas!
