its my girlfriends birthday in about a month and ive decided to get her a new pair of pointe shoes… the problem is… i know absolutely nothing about ballet :/ so i was just wandering if i could get any advice on getting a good quality pair, i can afford spend anything up to £200 on them, all i know is she is not a beginner and had been dancing for quite a few years, thanks for your help :)

    Hi Ollie!

Here’s the thing with pointe shoes: they are very personal and often fitted for the best fit! If your girlfriend likes the brand and type, it would be best to buy her the same ones. Thats pounds right? 200 pounds can usually buy a few pairs so if you’re looking to buy just one pair, you’ll have plenty left over! I would try to check out her brand and size when shes not looking and of course, save the receipt in case it turns out she wants a different brand! Thats always a safe bet :) you can also always get her some accessories, a skirt, or maybe some leg warmers to go along with them if you wanting to spend more. hope that helps!

Hi Ollie, I totally agree with xtina. You definitely need to try to find out what brand and model she prefers. If she wears Bloch you can check lazydancer.co.uk. They have good prices and offer free delivery. Also since you have a good budget you can also buy her a leotard or/and warmers.
