I started pointe when I was 11. I fell out of a double pirouette and injured my left ankle. Ever since then I have been very scared of pirouettes on flat and pointe. Because of this, mid turn my shoulders go up or I force myself to stop. Sometimes (and I know this is bad) I apparently close my eyes while turning. I have no trouble balancing in passe. Any tips for relieving my fear of turns as well as spotting and achieving multiple turns?
I hope you can help me! :)

Hello! I completely understand how you feel! Injuries are really scary. I recently got a Turnboard, I made sure they were OK by asking my teacher at ABT. She said as long as I don’t try for a million turns and I only use it for balance and placement. Turnboards will help because all you need to do is passe(not in releve). It will turn you. I really hope this helps you! :)
