I’m dancing at a wonderful studio with great teachers. I’m also in their student company. In the company there are two sides. I’m at the higher level yet my teachers don’t treat me like it. I’m very tall and I don’t have the perfect “ballet body”. They’ve been unfairly casting me and putting me behind for years, and I think I should quit but I just don’t know.

Hey, I know this answer might comes a little late, but maybe it helps you anyways. It is completely normal, that your teachers are not treating you super, super nice and everythingm They do that on purpose. They want their students to continue working hard and to ame for their attention. If they treat you really nice, you could stop working as hard or feel a little too good about yourself (being arrogant) and arrogant dancers are usually not bringin it too far. With your body, it’s normal too. Smaller dancers come in the front most of the time, taller dancers in the back. I know, that’s annoying, I am always the tallest dancer in the group and stand in the back most of the time. I think those circumstances are normal for a ballet company and if you don’t want to work and dance under those circumstances you should probably quit. Always keep in mind : Your dancetachers always try to benefit you, even if that means, to treat you hard and the body-thing is just the way it goes in so many ballet companies.
