    Of course I think it’s a great idea! I would hope your ballet teachers don’t get upset and if they do just say you were trying to gain more modern experience. It will only make you look good!;-)

    pirouettes from fifth can be tough. what helps me is to spot really fast. my teacher gave me this correction a couple years ago and it helps a ton. so when you releve, try to spot around twice quickly. if youre trying to do a single, than its barely a turn, just try to spot front and finish.

    Yeah I plan on looking up the companies that interest me. I have only 2 years of pointe in my pocket and that was a few years ago. I’m sure if I put on a pair at an audition I would be VERY rusty!

    Hi! I know this is a bit delayed but I am also interested in a contemporary career! I never thought to look in Europe but now that you mentioned it I want to start. I don’t have any friends who dance over there but I have heard that dance in general is more appreciated and that can’t be a bad thing! :-)

    I cant wait til I can get past the hurting and just enjoy the dancing! Being in the moment is the best..

    Hey harrisonj! You are helping me left and right!! :-)

    I never minded the foot thongs and right now would take those over bare feet! But like you said, I’ll get used to it. I do feel more grounded without shoes on.
