Philadelphia will likely have tons of auditions for all the big summer programs. Don’t let the names intimidate you. Summer programs aren’t looking for the best dancers, otherwise there wouldn’t be anything to teach! Thats why they have all sorts of levels, so they can accept a wide variety of students who all need to work on different things.

Don’t worry. No one has perfect turnout! Just do your best and try to attend as many auditions as you can. Do you live near a big city?

The audition is a little hard because they cant just accept everyone. Of course its not just a dance school where you can pay to go, its a college program that has a limited number of spots so they have to be selective. i also had a friend who went there, but just for her freshman year. Well she stil graduated from IU just lost interest in dance. She was good though!!

If you like slower variations, why not prayer from Coppelia? theres tons of videos on youtube for this variation. Or you could do the breadcrumb fairy variation from sleeping beauty, that one is beautiful.

Merde for your show!! Thats great you’re dancing at your school’s talent show.

    Hi Ollie!

Here’s the thing with pointe shoes: they are very personal and often fitted for the best fit! If your girlfriend likes the brand and type, it would be best to buy her the same ones. Thats pounds right? 200 pounds can usually buy a few pairs so if you’re looking to buy just one pair, you’ll have plenty left over! I would try to check out her brand and size when shes not looking and of course, save the receipt in case it turns out she wants a different brand! Thats always a safe bet :) you can also always get her some accessories, a skirt, or maybe some leg warmers to go along with them if you wanting to spend more. hope that helps!

I usually wear a colored leo.. as long as its not a crazy colored one or has a crazy pattern on it. i would go with something simple but that pops! :)
