Just circle your arms a few minutes without bending them. After a while it really hurts, so listen to a motivating song while exercising. It is a really good exercise for arms in ballet though.

Hey, I know this answer might comes a little late, but maybe it helps you anyways. It is completely normal, that your teachers are not treating you super, super nice and everythingm They do that on purpose. They want their students to continue working hard and to ame for their attention. If they treat you really nice, you could stop working as hard or feel a little too good about yourself (being arrogant) and arrogant dancers are usually not bringin it too far. With your body, it’s normal too. Smaller dancers come in the front most of the time, taller dancers in the back. I know, that’s annoying, I am always the tallest dancer in the group and stand in the back most of the time. I think those circumstances are normal for a ballet company and if you don’t want to work and dance under those circumstances you should probably quit. Always keep in mind : Your dancetachers always try to benefit you, even if that means, to treat you hard and the body-thing is just the way it goes in so many ballet companies.

Hey, it is normal to feel sore after ballet class and also you will always feel like you are behind or like there are other ones better then you. If not, you should change the classes and join a more difficult one. Usually you don’t feel that far behind, but when I came into my new ballet school, all the other kids in class were way better then me. I felt lost, but that was the time I learned most. I pushed myself even more, I was paying attention to every little detail and I just HAD to catch up. Your teachers will not expect you to do something perfectly right away, but they will expect you to try hard and to give your very best. That’s when youimprove the most. Good luck and don’t be discouraged !

If you are good enough you can start at any age. There are some famous dance teachers like Abby Lee Miller, which started teaching really young. Some graduate first and go to Universitys then. You have to decide if you feel able to do this. Teaching is a lot, a lot responsibility lying on you and you have to feel, if you are ready for it.

    Hey,
so for Intermediate Foundation you are required to ear pink thights, pink soft shoes (split sole or not) with ribbons, pointeshoes for the pointe section, an optional waistband and an optional head ribbon. Also you need to wear a sleevless leotard in black, royal blue, navy blue or purple. You can buy some of it at RAD Enterprises. I would ask my ballet teacher before buying anything for the examen, because teachers often times have a dress code for all of their students to wear in the examen. For example : at my ballet school we all had to wear black leotards and we had to wear a waistband.
